Easy touring generally indicates short or optional walks of up to 2-3 hours each day during sightseeing excursions, with 3-4 flights of stairs and other uneven ground. Nights are spent in deluxe or luxury accommodation/lodges. Elevation throughout the trip remains below 5,000 feet.
Day 1: Arrive Siem Reap
Upon arrival, you will be met by a Journeys Within representative and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Exploring Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom
This morning, explore the majestic Angkor Wat temple complex while it is still cool and has fewer tourists. Later, change into some clothes that you don’t mind getting wet and head to an active Wat for a “Srouch Tec” ceremony: A monk will chant in ancient Pali as he splashes water over you, washing away your sins and bad luck. In the afternoon, head to the famous walled city of Angkor Thom to see the many temples within its borders, including the fascinating Bayon temple with its many magnificent faces smiling out. There are several beautiful spots here from which you can watch the sunset.
Day 3: Exploring Banteay Srei and Local Village
This morning visit Banteay Srei, an intricately carved temple, as well as Banteay Kdei and Ta Prohm, two of the prettiest temples in the area; have lunch overlooking Sra Srang. This afternoon one of our guides will take you to his village, showing you rice paddies and typical homes along the way. Once there meet his family and neighbors, taking some time to explore this beautiful area before returning to your hotel.
Day 4: To Phnom Penh
Catch a morning flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, take a tour of the Royal Palace, still the royal residence and the National Museum.
Day 5: Exploring Phnom Penh / Depart Cambodia
This morning head to the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum where your guide will explain the history of the Khmer Rouge. Continue on to the Choeung Ek Memorial, site of one of the country’s many killing fields, where a memorial stupa and shallow pits remind visitors of the thousands killed under the Pol Pot Regime. After a late lunch, your guide will take you to the central market, reportedly the biggest domed market in the world, and to the famous Russian Market, where everything from souvenirs to car parts is on sale. You will be transferred to the airport in time to catch your flight home.

You must have a valid passport with an expiration date more than 6 months from the date of your return to the U.S. The passport must also have at least 2 blank pages for each country that you will be visiting in Asia.
Cambodia: Visas are granted on arrival for most nationals. Visas can also be procured prior to departure from your home country.
